Something to read and ponder  A skit given at Tea Party Rally

Once upon a time there were some cats that were owned by a king, the cats had no freedom or any rights.

King George suppresses the rights of the people in the new world.  The American people were taxed and intimidated with force from a repressive government.

After a while the cats could no longer tolerate there plight, they revolted and threw off there chains, they created (freedom cheese) and a small government to protect them from other kings and oppressors

Our founding fathers believed all men have rights given by their creator to live free.  They gave the people the power to govern them selves and entrusted them to safe guard this sacred trust.

The cats were happy and prospered.   One day a little mouse came from the government and told the cats “ if you give me just a little bit of your freedom cheese I will give you some milk and you will be even happier then you are now.

The first intrusions by the government were small and seemed to be for the good of everyone.  But like a caught fish who went after the bait and didn’t see the hook, Americans let a little of there freedom be taken away.  Example: school lunch, the government subsidizes lunch, paid for with your tax dollars then dictates the curriculum for your children.

The cats gave up a bit of their cheese and the government  grew.

Every time there is growth in the government, new bureaucracies are formed more money is needed to run them.  “ People your money is your freedom, your second amendment rights for example, you may have the right to own firearms but if you have no money to buy ammunition, or the cost of a permit is so high almost no one will be able to afford it what good is that right, you have freedom to move around but can’t afford the gas or the airlines ticket, what good is the right?

Over time the cats were lulled to sleep and the little mouse came again and again and the government grew bigger.

We the people have been losing our power that the founding fathers gave us, this didn’t start last year, or ten years ago this has been going on for decades, we the people have been preoccupied with building a nation, a life, a business, a home and a family.  We the People forgot the warnings of our founders to STAY FOREVER Vigilant.

As time went on the little mouse came again and again and as the government grew bigger the little mouse lost all fear of the cats, even though a few cats were concerned most were still asleep and didn’t pay any attention to the alarm.

Folks in every generation there have always been a few who tried to warn us but for the most part they were labeled as extremist, alarmist, anarchist and ignored by the masses.  We were fast asleep to the danger.

Now the mouse has gotten so bold he comes and goes with little fear of the cats and the government has grown to outrageous pupations.

Our government has become bloated and out of control. We the people are beingruled, regulated, restricted, labeled, censured, extorted, robbed, hoaxed, fined, harassed, disarmed, dishonored, exploited, and taxed to the point of suffocation and desperation. The government that was created to protect our freedom and rights has now become the greatest threat to those rights.

Not only have the size of the government changed, so has the speed with which is taking our rights and freedom away.

Stop!    Do you want to see how this plays out?  We stand at the cross roads of history, in a hundred years they will look back to 2009 and say that was the start of the rebirth of America or the beginning of the death of America.

Will the cats wake up in time? Or will they go back to being chained subjects of an oppressive government??
You each and every one will decide the fate of our nation
